I have been with the Rona Fort McMurray for the past 15 years. I started as a Purchaser for the store, after a few years, was Manager of Merchandising, then moved back into the purchasing position until such time as our ordering was run under central replenishment. In the years prior I have gained many aspects of day to day operations such as Receiving, Inventory, planning and merchandising. I have spent time in contract sales, learning the contractor end that was very exciting. I was given the opportunity to take on the task of Contract Sales Coordinator. A challenging position in ensuring that all our out going deliveries are scheduled, audited and that the many staff out in the yard are on task to meet the deadlines for picking the orders that in the end enable us to get our product to our customers on time, and with 100 percent accuracy.I have since left that position and continue to order stock for the yard, such as Lumber, Drywall, Block Material and Cement. I monitor our stock needs for current retail sales along with our Contractor's needs.My main strengths are problem solving, seeing and planning ahead, and I have a really good understanding of how important it is to make sure that all the different roles of replenishment, receiving, inventory and stock availability work together. It completes the circle of what our goal is to succeed with providing the best customer experience, and the best results at store level.
