Provides leadership and direction to the production group (i.e. Production Area Managers and hourly production employees). Leads, direct and controls the Plant’s efforts to meet safety, production, delivery, cost metrics, and quality requirements are achieved.Direct team of production area managers and hourly associates to optimize plant performance and meet customer requirements. Manage/monitor daily production to ensure 100% schedule adherence.Provide leadership and resources necessary to drive plant productivity and efficiency. Interact with scheduling to promote throughput and drive delivery. Drive lean thinking and best practices on the shop floor through daily activities such as standard work, visual management, daily production meetings, 5S, and TPM.Work with the local union on a daily basis to resolve problems and strive to make the plant better.
