Community Builder is a vocational training program to teach vital skills needed in the work force. The skills range from construction and trades to information technology to the latest in programming and technical needs in the rapidly expanding area of XR technology. The training includes both technical, hands on skills and soft skills, personal development, industry certificates, mentorships and apprenticeships, job placement and additional entrepreneurial trainings and certificates. The focus is to help unemployed and under employed youth and adults gain the skills necessary to become independent, self sufficient, responsible members of society and work towards eliminating intergenerational poverty in our communities. Whole families can learns skills together, work together, and lift themselves.

I was sworn in on January 4, 2021.

This is usually a one year rotating position.

Having a passion for all things textiles, I have designed costumes and accessories, plus designed and built productions for local theaters and performing groups. I have designed, altered and constructed hundreds of bridal and prom dresses. I have designed puppets, sets, lighting, and makeup for award winning productions.

I am currently the County Liason for the Salt Lake County Republican Party. I was the the West Region Chair for many years, but have served as a Central Region Chair and Legislative Chair as well as Precinct Chair.

Responsible for annual Advocacy Training Day at the State Capitol, implementing by-law responsibilities and broadening the voice and reach of parks and recreation in Utah. I began in 2006 and was officially appointed to the newly created position of Citizen Advocate in 2009. Helped run social media sites and post content.

As an elected official, I am tasked with the job of keeping the organization fiscally responsible. This includes setting the vision and mission of the organization and its programs, maintaining fiscal responsibility while meeting the needs of the community, writing and establishing policies and procedures, approving and oversight for a $5.5 million annual budgetEngaging public policy and overseeing government compliance.Directed the local organizing committee regarding event management of the 2016 Tour of Utah Day 4 Finish event.Involved in 2002 Winter Olympics organization, planning and operating the speed skating oval and volunteer management.

I won my election and have already started in my role. I will be sworn in on January 4th.

Candidate for office during the 2020 covid election cycle. Was out raised 5 to 1, ran against an incumbent, had 90.8% voter turnout with 549,000 people voting and won by 1189 votes which is 0.2%.

I tune, repair and rebuild pianos.

Serve as a board member of the Leadership Training program for the Chamber of Commerce, covering West Valley City, Taylorsville, Kearns, and Millcreek.Specialize in Government Relations, Communications and Image.Plan and execute business development and leadership training programs.Developed one-day training modules to be conducted monthly September through May.Additionally, organized “Networking and Civic Responsibilities” day held at the State Capitol annually.

I organized precincts and caucus locations for the Republican Party each year. I organized the Legislative district and helped elect republican candidates for the state office as well as support other republican candidates also running in the area. I organize and help with the get out to vote effort in the area.

I designed the six full size side building structures for the pageant during the second year it ran after the LDS Church took over operations from the local church members in 2005. I organized and managed 156 women volunteers during the construction process of completing the pageant houses panels. The temple structure was designed during the first year of the reorganization.

Directed and produced the production of Can You Hear Me Now? A Three Act play. Also designed the set and lighting.

I served as an elected member of the Board of Directors for the Association and was very active in working with the Association at the Utah State Legislature.

I have continued to work with businesses and not for profit companies since this time writing business and marketing plans for growth and funding.

Host of the Radio Talk Show "Politically Speaking with Laurie Stringham". I put together all my own advertisements, remotes and research. I was responsible for bringing on my own sponsors and selling my time slot advertising, and worked with hundreds of businesses, special events, and political groups.

Assisted and represented Senator Hatch at Lincoln Day Dinners, fund raisers, and other events. Organized the State Delegates and convention data, developed a media information database, and many other special projects. Put together invitations, flyers, and other special publications for fundraising events and the local golf tournament.

Constituent Services Representative, helped with constituent issues, served as computer office administrator, Special Events Registration and Resource Coordinator, and Receptionist—answered constituent issue questions (Public Relations).
