I'm an entrepreneur with a product and engineering background who has built and led teams at startups in the video, AR, non-profit and gaming spaces over the last 15 years. I have strong cross-disciplinary skills and a wide range of interests, and am particularly fascinated by the potential of augmented reality. I'm passionate about using technology to build platforms that have a deep impact and huge reach. At Poplar Studio, we enable retailers to showcase their products to their customers through virtual try ons and visualisations, and connect brands to a community of over 3,000 expert 3D and AR creators. Our clients include BBC, Fox, Disney, L'Oreal, Warner Brothers, Pepsico, Nestle, Bacardi, Nickelodeon and many more.I was the 1st employee at Rightster (now Brave Bison), a startup that grew to 250 people across 13 cities and IPOed in November 2013 with a market cap of roughly £70m. I founded Donative, an innovative charity fundraising platform that was selected from 900 startups to join the MassChallenge UK accelerator. As Product Director at Level Up Media, I designed and built multiple B2B products to open new lines of business.I currently advise a few startups, operate side projects including Charity Catalogue and Covers for Others, and mentor children and adults from a coding/startup perspective. I am particularly keen to help encourage young people from underrepresented backgrounds to learn about the opportunities in tech and enter the industry.
