A highly experienced clinical laboratory manager for a broad scope of lab operations, including; pathology, cytology, molecular diagnostics, cytogenetics and flow cytometry. I really enjoy change management, having been a lead for several facilities build and operational change projects. The most recent was a multi-million dollar project encompassing the design, build and move of several laboratories to a new facility. This was a highly successful adventure with the support and collaboration of technical and medical staff. Respecting the knowledge and needs of our most valuable asset, people, is fundamental to the success of processes, systems and organizations.As a manager, I appreciate the importance of maintaining a strategic focus for quality systems, organizational goals, technical enhancements, and the financial decisions that drive an efficient service. Success in this is key to organizational health, and the needs of those who use our services. I am also proud to have worked as a consultant for several organizations at the local, national and international level. In this capacity, I provided direction and support for technical, management and facilities changes in support of their quest to expand/enhance technical services and quality activities. I am privileged to have worked with, and learned from, a great number of knowledge seekers, experts and leaders.....and my journey continues!
