Information Technology and Office Administration responsibilities (Jack-of-all-trades)

Provide IT computer, networking, IT business analysis and auditng services. Provide technical and non-technical writing and editing services.

• Build and maintain a SOX-compliant IT infrastructure, based on ITIL best practices, and provide IT staff with the software and hardware tools needed to achieve SOX compliance in the most efficient, cost-effective and painless manner possible. • As member of Change Management Board, interface with CIO, VP, and Director of Security to achieve SOX compliance by effective configuration and utilization of change management software. • Work directly with KPMG auditors to ensure all compliance goals are met.• Train and support the IT Staff to understand their and the IT Department’s integral roles in establishing and following general and/or application controls that prevent and detect fraud, protect the organization resources, especially in the areas of Finance and Accounting. • Create documents and procedures to establish consistency in the enterprise and meet management expectations. • Participate pro-actively with management and the appropriate departments in the development, maintenance, improvement and/or modification of these controls, as needed to adjust to changes in government regulations or workplace requirements. • Create, track, manage and maintain analysis, reports, and metrics with regard to any changes to the enterprise (firewalls, routers, VPNs servers, SANS, NAS, etc.)• Document and monitor the collection of SOX evidence at regular frequencies• Work with Finance, Accounting, Human Resources and IT to implement strong password security and ensure resources are secure and accessed only by authorized personnel. . • Select, learn and use a variety of tools to secure the enterprise environment and meet SOX requirements while staying within budget: Ciscoworks, CiscoSecure ACS, Cisco VPN 3000 Concentrator Manager, Visio, Excel, Powerpoint, What’s Up Gold, Trend Micro, AD, truelast, dumpsec, Sunview ChangeGear, Qualysguard, Men&Mice, etc.

Assist with e-mail, web updates, data conversion from Access to Quickbooks, and other IT-related issues

Analyze and document IT infrastructure and make recommendations based on minimizing business risks

Manage budget, audits; ensure current and future technology needs are addressed; migrate acquired subsidiaries; facilitate communication with international offices and mobiles sales and support staff.

Manage and maintain all aspects of network--ISP, firewall, routers, vpn, servers, and server software; provide Helpdesk support for all end-user computers and applications; track licensing and support contracts

Configured and maintained server and workstation hardware and software for Unix and Novell servers and PC and MAC workstations; provide technical support to 100+ users. Tracked licenses, registrations, warranties, support contracts

Installed, configured and maintained server and workstation hardware and software for Novell, Windows NT, Windows for Workgroups, and Windows 95. Installed and administered Exchange Server, MS-Mail, RAS services, DHCP, Form Flow electronic forms, and McAfee VirusScan. Compiled and tested C++ programs. Maintained backups of servers and workstations. Created and maintained document disaster recovery program. Managed annual audit of security procedures by outside financial institution.
