In this role I make use of Sprout Social software for the management of social media platforms. My duties include video productions, editing, photography, digital writing, social media market research and the scheduling and data analysis of posts across all social media platforms including YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.My responsibilities also include developing and sharing social media content as well as handling comments with the monitoring team. I work closely with the larger communications team which includes designers, web developers, copywriters and media relations officers.

As the Social and Liaison HC member I planned and managed all events for my university residence. This included smaller social events as well as formal events for 300+ people. I had to communicate with various vendors, visualise and implement decor and work within a tight budget. I also regularly designed posters and marketing material for these events, while distributing these materials to the public. Forming part of this leadership structure amplified my leadership qualities and equipped me with working with a diverse group of people.

As a waitress I further developed my communication skills and found my passion for working with people. I learnt to work in a team, work in a high pressure environment and stay positive during long work days.
