Title V Grant: Valencia College East Campus was given the opportunity to use part of the awarded $5.25 million to support student advising in four meta major areas: Arts and Entertainment, Business, Education, and Psychology, and early intervention software. I was selected to be one of two representatives from the Education Department to serve on this grant. Designed and implemented 10 strategies to mentor students in career development and transfer readiness within the field of Teacher Education.Increased attendance at General Knowledge Test workshops provided to help prepare students for the first of three state certification tests.Increased attendance by 100% within the second year of hosting the Teacher Education Orientations.

The Service Learning Liaison position was created out of the need to centralize all Teacher Education Service Learning requirements.Initiated and guided the transition from Field Observation Hours to Service Learning Hours throughout the Teacher Education Program (TEP).Researched and designed Service Learning curriculum plans for two education courses.
