Mission: Launch, Inc. is a not for profit 501(C)(3) with a mission to improve socio-economic outcomes for marginalized communities, with an immediate and urgent focus on returning citizens (the formerly incarcerated). We build software to uphold human rights and create opportunities to gain self-sufficiency through entrepreneurship. As an organization we are committed to the elimination of bias and barriers directed at returning citizens. To that end, we host community problem solving and storytelling events as means to share the urgency for all Americans to get involved in addressing prison re-entry/mass incarceration. This organizational activity has lead Mission: Launch to organize the Rebuilding Re-entry Coalition, which is a collective network of governmental, non-governmental agencies, and grassroots, citizen-led movements. Each stakeholder is committed to improving outcomes for women and men with arrest and conviction records in the Washington, D.C. – Baltimore Metropolitan region. As the fiscal sponsor, Mission: Launch provides staffing, special event support and strategic direction.
