As the Senior IT Business Analyst for 3PM, my daily tasks involved Process Analysis, Requirements Gathering, creating Wireframes and writing User Stories. As a customer facing role, this allowed me to interact with customers almost daily to manage relationships and build solutions according to customer needs. In addition to this, I was responsible for Project Management and Dev Management. Overseeing the Project Delivery and assisting in Quality Assurance, this role evolved into a DevOps position within the Project Lifecycle.

As a Senior IT Business Analyst at Downer NZ, this involved working on a companywide digital transformation project. This project was to replace current legacy systems to improve business processes, increase employee efficiency and reduce revenue leakage. As a Senior IT Business Analyst focused on leading the B2B integration analysis between the Customer and Downer, this role involved Current State analysis and mapping for each existing customer integration. Identifying future/desired state to meet complex service delivery needs, by defining technical requirements and data mapping requirements. Through user stories designed and documented (JIRA) to assist in the development of the final solution, the objective would be to see one integration interface used between Downer and all its Customers. Supporting this project involved overseeing the delivery and learning phases during and after integration, respectively.

Reporting directly to our customers Senior Level Management for issues handling, tracking and resolution.This role focused on achieving business objectives in aspects like requirement analysis, current and future state analysis, cost analysis and qualitative analysis. This required the ability to analyse functional requirements and service case requirements, to deliver on customer needs while optimizing revenue generation to the business. Responsibilities also included people and process management through guidance of technical support engineers in their daily tasks and duties while cultivating their communication skills and relationship building with the customer.

This project involved integrating, deploying and supporting a solution to monitor the Network Performance of MTN across all operating countries. As an IT Business Analyst, the role involved requirements analysis prior to integrating and deploying a network monitoring application. Once this was completed, the role required defining user stories for each user group, then carrying out end user training in line with each user group. The role also included creating process diagrams to understand user processes, analysing efficiency of SQL query scripts (Oracle), data mapping the network KPI formula updates, defining custom report configuration templates and documenting technical system updates and upgrades (Confluence).

This involved developing a solution to import data from SQL Server to Microsoft Dynamics AX using T-SQL coding. The monthly sales and expense data was then translated into readable Financial Reports for management and accounting teams. Challenges included tracing & debugging query scripts to ensure application functionality and reliability.

As a Front End Developer I was required to convert an Excel spreadsheet using macros and MS Access into a practical Web Application developed in ASP.net using SQL Server as a Database solution. This involved collecting high volumes of performance indicators from farming data. The solution then used the data to calculate and predict methane and nitrous oxide emissions from livestock, fertiliser and energy.As the Junior Project Manager, the key tasks included developing the project plan, communication and relationship management between our project team and the client, and specifying the project schedule and delivery goals.
