As part of the Regional Older Adult Network, promoted the health and well-being of older adults through clinical program development and quality improvement initiatives. Supported the Specialized Seniors Clinics to provide safe, optimal care during COVID-19 restrictions; provided resources for acute care and community staff to promote social connection and prevent delirium in older adult clients; organized geriatric nursing education; participated in delirium screening quality improvement initiatives in acute care.

Collaborated with an interdisciplinary team and external agencies to provide client-centred care to those with serious mental health and substance use issues. Advocated for clients to ensure needs are met (health care, housing, income, employment) to promote wellness.

Provided expertise in assessment, planning, diagnosis, intervention and evaluation of care. Mentored and educated staff regarding evidence-based practice in the care and management of clients with mental health and substance use issues. Consulted and collaborated with interdisciplinary team members to solve complex clinical practice issues by organizing and leading case conferences. Built partnerships with community resources, other health care teams, and family physicians to ensure coordinated care.

Research, stakeholder engagement, policy analysis, and facilitation of educational sessions. Applied health and equity lenses to guide a variety of projects including a housing strategy for the North Island region, and a rural communities mental health and well-being needs assessment.
