Supporting Orica's customer and supplier-facing teams across the APAC business, including West Metals business, Pilbara joint venture, Australian sourcing, and Global Supply Chain.Broad role covering all aspects of Orica's sourcing, manufacturing, transport and delivery of explosives goods and services to customers in the APAC region, and provision of associated technology solutions.

Led the expansion into Asia of two key LOD business areas - Legal Operations & Technology, and LOD Legal, winning new business for LOD in Mining & Resources and Pharmaceuticals.Worked closely with LOD's Australian HQ and the Asia Business Development teams to identify new business opportunities, develop client proposals, and deliver consulting projects. Presented and facilitated seminars public and in-house seminars, focusing on legal operations and other in-house challenges.

Worked for Orica in a variety of senior legal, governance and contract negotiation roles, including leading a team of lawyers supporting the Europe, Asia & Africa region.Drafted and negotiated key agreements for Orica's procurement and transport of explosives manufacturing inputs and third-party products and services, as well as strategic supply contracts for global customers. Principal lawyer on a multi-year project to revise and extend Orica's global hub operating model, involving new and revised IP and supply agreements affecting 50+ Group companies across North America, Latin America, Europe, Africa, the CIS and APAC. Led the rationalisation and standardisation of Orica's procurement and sales terms, supported Orica's rollout of a new global SAP system, and played a lead role in updating and centralising Orica's other legal precedents.

Responsible for CSIRO's commercial transactions and disputes, providing legal advice to the CSIRO Executive Team, and leading a team of 30 lawyers. Key achievements in this role included leading my team through two successive restructures, and driving a comprehensive program of change to simplify CSIRO's legal processes.

At CSIRO I held various leadership positions, including Team Leader (Manufacturing, Materials & Minerals) and Acting General Counsel. Drafted and negotiated R&D and commercialisation agreements, and advised on compliance, intellectual property, branding, licensing and disputes. Member of the Legal Leadership Team and CSIRO's Major Transactions review committee, and headed the Performance Measurement 'vision task' within the Legal function. Won multiple awards for support to the CSIRO business, including CSIRO's 'Medal for Business Excellence' as the lead lawyer on the CSIRO-Orica Strategic Research Alliance.
