*Responsible for the sales and application engineering of MTU diesel and gas systems for channel and direct business in the APAC region.*Develops growth strategies for the technical team to drive towards business targets. *Set up the direct business engineering team. *Study the tender and identify unique selling positions to help with the sales pitching, especially for complex projects. *Plans the team resources to handle pre-sales and post-sales activities. *Develops with the team a reliable supplier network to offer competitive balance of plant solutions for the direct business. *Plans activities to increase the technical competencies of our partners. *Travels to various countries in APAC for project discussions and negotiations.

*Soekarno-Hatta Int’l airport project - 2 x 33MW power stations from 2015 to 2017. Complex project with the requirement for all generator sets to take load within 15s from blackout. *Worked on the qualification of Yanmar Energy Systems’s prototype engine project. Resulted in an annual sales of ~200 diesel engines. *Troubleshooting of OEM genset issues at several Indonesian remote islands (West Papua, Labuan Bajo, South Kalimantan and North Sulawesi). *Performed calculation to verify genset ventilation requirements and radiator sizing. *Deep understanding of mechanical systems and electrical systems of diesel genset power generation. *Conducted customised application engineering and product trainings in various countries in APAC.

*Training in Germany for 2 months to learn the new S1600 engine to launch it into APAC via various roadshows and customer presentations. *Qualified the 3rd party radiator for various S1600 OEM gensets. *Reviewed customers’ installations and provided advice to ensure longevity of the related systems. *Certified to make torsional vibration calculation for gensets using MTU engine.

*Qualified the cooling system of a 2500kW fracturing pump truck in Jinzhou, China.*Packaged diesel gen-sets in Singapore. *Responsible for the order management of diesel engine orders. Secured annual turnover targets. *Reviewed L/C clauses before the delivery of the engines. Knowledge of incoterms.

*Designed the mechanical systems of the Specialised Marine Craft (SMC) of the RSN. *Liaised with customers and suppliers on the mechanical systems of the naval projects.*Selected suitable mechanical systems for naval vessel tenders.*Used Kaizen studies to improve the mechanical system design process.*Used Structured What If Technique (SWIFT) risk assessment analysis.
