I was tasked with providing excellent customer service and providing my services to ensure a pleasant experience at the resort. I would regularly check in on guests and provide them with anything they needed. I have worked in many areas from casual settings to business dress occasions.

I have been working for Marriott at the Gaylord Texan Resort for several years as a seasonal employee in various areas of the operation while I have pursued my education at Texas Tech. This past summer, I had the opportunity to job shadow recent college graduates in the Finance & Accounting department who were part of the Marriott Voyager Program. We utilized PeopleSoft software for daily journal entries, running queries for analysis, tracking transactions for revenue, etc. We generated reports, such as the Gross Revenue Report, and sent it to all managers in the hotel. I was also given the opportunity to attend weekly labor meetings to discuss current and forecasted labor hours.
