With more than two and a half decades as a certified international human resources senior executive/CHRO, Lawrence Hamilton brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the clients he coaches and the organizations he serves. In addition to his accomplishments in his various professional roles, Hamilton earned the Society of Human Resource Management’s (SPHR) lifetime certified Senior Professional in Human Resources. He also holds the Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation from World at Work. He is also a Board Certified Coach (BCC, #4248). Hamilton recently served on two public company boards, Home Bank Mortgage(NYSE:HBMC) and Wright Medical (NASDAQ:WMGI) and was chair of the executive compensation committee on both boards.At present, Hamilton is a senior adjunct faculty member and executive coach at the Leadership Development Institute, a Center for Creative Leadership affiliate, at Eckerd College, ranked in the top 10 internationally in 2018 Financial Times Survey of Executive Education ( open enrollment programs). He is also manages Hamilton Consulting, a private HR and Executive Coaching practice he founded in 2006.Hamilton’s clients are drawn to his ability to quickly understand needs and challenges and to then provide a solid plan for future success. As a Mediation Training Institute certified Workplace Mediator and Trainer, Hamilton employs these positive techniques in all his endeavors and is known for a direct, yet caring approach to situations in which he’s involved.Hamilton is also keenly devoted to private and public board service. His skills in the areas of human resources and executive compensation have benefitted many organizations. He is a past member of the board of directors of the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy’s (NASBA) Center for the Public Trust (CPT), the University of South Florida St. Petersburg Campus. Currently, he is a member of the boards of advisors of Carver-Edison, a private employee stock purchase plan firm, and Treace Medical (NASDAQ:TMCI), a public medical device firm where he is chairman of the Compensation Committee and a member of the Audit Committee.He holds BA ( Fisk -cum laude), MPA ( U of Alabama-high honors and Ed.S (George Washington) degrees and several related certifications.
