I am the Co-Founder of the Melbourne streetwear brand; Okiru. I created this brand in partnership with my friend Gerald, to not only provide products that we love, but to also share our message and journey through out content. We have created this brand to do our part in giving back to the community and paying it forward to others by participating in fundraisers for mental health, having important and critical conversations on our podcast and creating weekly newsletters with subjects we find importance in sharing. We value building connections and collaborating with other brands, creatives, professionals, entrepreneurs and people of all walks of life. Through our brand we are privileged to be connected to a diverse group of people and it has been a blessing to hear and share their stories through our platform. Through creating our business I am fortunate to be exposed to a variety of skills and to build my own personal skillset. Coming from a creative background there was a lot I didn't realise I needed to learn and do to help build a structured business. I was fortunate to be coached in different business processes, different methodologies of business practices, task management strategies, marketing skills, business analysis and to experience leading a team.
