Lilliputian is developing a clean energy source (fuel cell) that you can hold in your hand -- and use to power or charge your USB-connected devices (cell phones, smart phones or tablets, etc.) for up to two weeks -- totally off the grid. I was part of the team developing the software that controls the fuel cell and makes it provide power for your devices, when you need it, safely. Interrupt-driven real-time firmware written in C++, running on an ARM Cortex M3 micro-controller.
