I was part of the team developing the software that controls the fuel cell and makes it provide power for your devices, when you need it, safely. Interrupt-driven real-time firmware written in C++, running on an ARM Cortex M3 micro-controller.

Algorithm design, software design, code reviews, unit and automated regression testing, and configuration control. Evaluation of existing sensors for human behavior and physiology. Performed a major re-design of a commercial automated diagnostic instrument (Optimax i6000,imunohistochemistry staining system.) Re-designed mechanism and added sensor feedback to increase accuracy. Reintegrated subsystems into a coherent product, significantly improving speed, reliability, reagent handling and ease of use. Assisted in documentation for FDA GMP requirements and UL listing. Co-managed project and co-supervised technicians and another engineer.
