About Lawrence Simon

Owner/Operator Lawrence was born and raised in Manchester, England, home of the world famous soccer team, Manchester United and is an avid fan. He left high school to be an airline pilot, only to be recruited to a travel agency. His boss asked him to stay on for a year, and deter University. He never went! His love for travel was apparent and abundant. In his first year, at just 17, was Employee of the year in the company of 40 strong and was sent, all expenses paid, to Toronto Canada. After 4 years there, he emigrated at just 20 years old, without a job. He found one as manager of an incentive and group travel company. Then left to continue his passion, being with people, and became a sales representative for a Mexican Wholesale company and after a year, was enticed away by another company, to run their sales division, selling and promoting Hawaiian vacations. After 4 years, he decided to branch out on his own and purchased Mission Bell Travel in January of 1991. He was 27 years old. He has since, purchased and built up Mariners Travel service. He continues to grow, being hands on, full time plus, working owner, offering personal service and expertise and has the clients and references to prove it!
