I have been working in the field of Humanitarian Information Management for over a decade. Prior to this, I had a thirteen-year-long career in the environment sector. I express my passion for “making data alive and useful” which helped me overcome difficulties, embrace challenges, work in multicultural environments, and move forward in my career in the humanitarian sector.Over the course of my profession, I developed a diverse range of capabilities in Humanitarian Information Management that include skills in data visualization, production of map-based information products, humanitarian infographics, static and interactive dashboards, and data coordination among partners in different humanitarian sectors.I also discovered a new enthusiasm for team leadership and have recently stepped into the role of Team Coordinator. In this leadership position, I guide the work of other information management officers and analysts to ensure the program deliverables are met on time and in line with the program's overall objectives and organizational standards. I focus on collaboration, mentorship, and communication to ensure that every member can work in a team environment and perform at their best.I find the ability to combine technical skills with “leadership by example” incredibly fulfilling. I aim to carry all my experiences, knowledge, and acquired technical skills forward to contribute to the best of my abilities while incorporating past lessons.
