As a credit analyst it is my job to evaluate financial statements from companies along with individuals. I review both existing and potential client's financial information (i.e. tax returns, A/R and A/P aging reports, and personal financial statements). I use this information to produce a loan application that is used in the approval process of every commercial loan. This application includes various financial ratios which show cash flows and debt services. Also in this application is a written explanation of the findings from the applicant's financial statements. While producing these statements I work closely with my supervisor along with the loan officer to verify the findings as well as clear up any discrepancies found in the statements. In certain instances these applications are submitted to a committee which consists of high ranking bank officers who made decisions on whether to accept or deny a loan application. This job requires good time management skills as I am often required to work on multiple applications at the same time while meeting deadlines placed by both our banks committee as well as the client.

As a collector my main job duties was loan collection. I oversaw consumer loan contracts in values of over $1 million dollars. The consumer loan portfolio consists of approximately 740 contracts. I consistently managed the portfolios so that delinquency rates are lower than a 2% level set by the bank. I independently make decisions on when to continue with past due contracts and when to initiate termination of under performing contracts to the best benefit of the bank. As part of administering contracts I regularly dealt with higher ranking bank management to inform them of my decisions. Collection efforts necessitate dealing personally with delinquent customers on a regular basis. These Collection efforts involve the preparation and sending of collection letters, refinancing of existing loans, loan consolidation, and facilitating customer communication efforts with additional bank departments. In addition, as part of my duties I independently award contracts to outside companies such as third party collection agencies and repossession companies to work for the benefit of the department. These contracts are awarded on a competitive and non competitive basis throughout the United States. All contracts are awarded within bank policies and guidelines.
