I am a lifelong entrepreneur who is nostalgic for the future. I am fatally attracted to what I call “the noetic life” and in the past forty years this has led me to experience adventures ranging from being a neuroscience geek and med school dropout in the 70’s, to desktop publishing pioneer in the 80’s, to business development entrepreneur in the former Soviet Union in the 90’s. In the naughts I shifted into financial services and as a result of my investment banking experience I grew even more fond of start-ups. In the teens I focused on helping launch some world-changing technologies and while I wait for those to actually launch I've gone almost full-circle back to publishing.I like variety and I alternate between periods of intense concentration on attaining a goal to multitasking and experimenting with a range of interests. I believe climbing steep learning curves keeps me feeling youthful. What ties this all together is my curiosity about how things work, starting with how we think and create our world, the tools we invent to effect that, and how it all interacts.
