I have worked on more than 100 appeals and have represented clients in a wide variety of matters, including employment cases; arbitration cases; fraud and negligence claims; constitutional claims; and election-related disputes. I have served as an arbitrator and as a hearing officer in civil-service appeals. Before working at Wallace Jordan, I was a law clerk to Justice Hugh Maddox of the Alabama Supreme Court. I graduated from Auburn University and the University of Texas law school with honors, served as an associate editor of the Texas Law Review, and received the Best Brief Award. I am a volunteer Court Appointed Special Advocate for abused and neglected children in the Jefferson County Family Court through CASA of Jefferson County. My personal interests include computers, technology, college football and basketball, and church activities, including teaching children’s Sunday school.
