About Lebene Ayivor

Lebene Ayivor is multi-hyphenate artist, and educator. She has performed at Lincoln Center with The National Queer Theatre and was most recently seen in Nana Mensah’s award winning film Queen of Glory. Lebene has over 10 years experience as an educator. In her position as a teaching artist, she has developed and taught short term project based residencies in New York City's public school districts for grades K-12. Prior to working as a teaching artist Lebene worked with her alma mata, The Evergreen State College through their mentorship program. Through this program Lebene worked as a mentor and cultural facilitator with the incarcerated youth at Washington State's Greenhill Juvenile Facility.Lebene is the creative director of Tritone Paradox Productions, a production company sharing theatrical audio stories of the global majority. Lebene previously founded Circle of Inequity, an artist collective dedicated to creating safe spaces for the oppressed within the arts and arts education. She is a passionate educator and performer committed to the art of sharing untold stories. Lebene holds a B.A in Visual and Performing Arts from The Evergreen State College and is a graduate of Circle in the Square Theatre School.
