I am a research assistant in Material Physics with great interest in thermal characterization of electrocaloric thin films and their applications in the field of refrigeration. Currently in my research I am conducting a systematic study of the thermal properties of nanoscale electrocaloric layers, via ThermoReflectance, as a function of the thickness of the material. Later on a theoretical model will be developed in order to describe the temperature distribution and the confinement phenomena inside the layers.For my Masters studies I worked on the characterization of Biofilms in the marine environment. Two methods were presented. First, an electrochemical method was used, a change in the potential difference, under the effect of the biofilm, was observed. Second, a stub resonator was fabricated using a physical vapor deposition (PVD) called Sputter deposition, the resonant frequency of this stub shifted to high frequency under the effect of bacterial adhesion.I have occasional experience with Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM), Confocal Microscope and X-ray diffraction (XRD). During my previous internships, I gained experience in dielectric characterization of materials using a coaxial probe.As a person I am highly motivated and have the aspiration to discover and learn new things. I am very organized in my work, punctual, and have excellent communication skills, both oral and written. I perform well both as a leader as well as a team member. Most importantly I am a sincere and responsible person, someone who can be trusted.
