• Undergraduate drug delivery research program focused on the developing of a blood-brain barrier model that accurately mimics drug transportation efficiency, specifically tailored to represent a tumor-like scenario.• Perform laboratory testing using various lab instrumentation such as microscopy and cell culture techniques.• Preparation of different concentrations of hydrogels networks and fluorescent solutions to study the transport of solutes in hydrogel to improve diffusion of drugs in living tissues.• Use of capillary tubes with injected fluorescent along with the use of a Metamorph software for image acquisition from the microscope. • Used MATLAB software for data analysis to determine the diffusion coefficient of the fluorescent used and the effectiveness of the hydrogels created.• Subculturing of cell lines and enzymatic dissociation, centrifugation, microscopic evaluation and media replacement to ensure successful cultivation of cells and passaged cells once they mature.• Responsible for coordinating and scheduling available lab time, ensuring seamless communication among team members.• Coordination and leading of weekly meetings with the management team to discuss progress and next steps.• Followed lab safety protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
