I am a dedicated human rights activist and NGO leader with over 25 years of advocacy experience in both the legal and non-profit sectors. I excel at creating far-reaching networks that guarantee access at the uppermost levels of international governance and NGO administration, I have travelled extensively throughout many of the world’s most unstable regions, including Haiti, Lebanon, Libya, Syria, Jordan, Palestine, Uganda, Pakistan and the Eastern Horn of Africa. One of my key strengths is my ability to develop productive relationships with key decision makers. My extensive legal background supports my NGO leadership approach of blending realism and idealism, knowing that success is impossible without a healthy balance of both. I pride myself on my awareness of the current political and cultural climate in any country I am working in, particularly when it involves the often sensitive nature of providing relief to local communities. Access, media coverage, network-building and relationship management is absolutely critical to the success of all these missions, and BHR was astoundingly successful in this regard.
