In Spring 2018, Seton Hall chose a group of around 50 students to lead their newest diversity initiative. They held a weekend diversity training where we the students learned to facilitate a discussion on diversity. Not only that, but we also were trained on how to combat racism and prejudice in a constructive way, listening, digesting, and responding. I was chosen to attend the training and afterward teach these methods and concepts to classes of freshman. In May 2019 we received the Outstanding Leadership in Promoting Diversity Award from the University for our efforts.
