I oversee a range of critical compliance functions to ensure regulatory adherence and enhance firm-wide practices. My responsibilities include:- Testing and implementing rules in UAT for client restricted lists- Utilizing Red Oak for marketing reviews, overseeing social media marketing (primarily LinkedIn for registered reps), and preparing firm-wide marketing training- Managing employee preclearance of trades through StarCompliance and reviewing outside business activities, board/committee memberships, and political contributions requests as part of code of ethics oversight- Assisting with compliance manual updates, conducting email surveillance, monitoring and interpreting new regulations, and coordinating with internal and external audit teams for risk assessments and regulatory exam preparedness- Overseeing the vendor due diligence programMy role demands a proactive approach to navigating regulatory changes, implementing effective compliance strategies, and fostering a culture of integrity across the firm.

My role involved reviewing NDAs (primarily related to real estate, structured capital, and aircraft deals), consulting agreements, engagement letters, and vendor contracts. I maintained the firm’s securities Watch List/Restricted List, assisted with wall crossings, conducted vendor due diligence, and audited trade blotters. Additionally, I assisted with compliance training programs to reinforce the firm’s risk management practices.

I specialized in AML/KYC compliance, managing client onboarding, KYC refreshes, and drafting AML letters. I directly interfaced with clients, assisted in bilingual communications with Mexican regulatory agencies, and created presentations on the Firm's AML/KYC program.In addition to these AML/KYC responsibilities, I drafted corporate documents such as formation documents, operating agreements (LPAs, LLCAs), IMAs, incumbency certificates, and structure charts, and reviewed PPMs and related materials. My role required a keen attention to detail and effective project management to navigate the dynamic demands of the position.

As an intern across multiple departments at E. & J. Gallo Winery, I've developed a broad skill set through roles in Agile and Digital Marketing, Legal (Trademark & Government Affairs), and Human Resources. My contributions include creating an Excel tool for evaluating agricultural machinery investments, integrating agile practices to expedite product launches, and leading CRM strategies that reversed revenue declines during the COVID-19 pandemic. I've also navigated the complexities of trademark compliance in acquisitions, developed resources for legal and marketing teams, and analyzed regulatory impacts on business operations. My work has been characterized by a data-driven approach to solving complex problems, improving operational efficiencies, and fostering cross-functional collaboration to drive strategic initiatives forward.

Study explored the caregiving needs of a group we do not know much about—older adults who have been released from prison. We set out to, primarily, characterize the major challenges of caregiving for this population through semi-structured, qualitative interviews and to, secondarily, use those data to inform an evolving resource guide covering three abutting counties in Central North Carolina.
