Hi! I am a recent graduate from Sheffield Hallam University, having studied a Masters in Applied Human Rights after years of passionately following current political and social affairs. I am seeking a career in research analysis, non-profit & charity work, or humanitarian aid/policy work.My main professional interests include politics, human rights, international development & foreign affairs; both of the theses I produced during my time at university revolve around the intersectionality and human rights frameworks utilised throughout the Civil Rights and Black Power movements, and their international counterparts. I have also undertaken extensive research surrounding the Arab-Israeli conflict and the long- and short-term effects of international involvement. Further, I have a keen personal interest in mental health & wellness as well as charity work, and would be overjoyed to find work in either of these sectors, too. During my time as a manager at the Co-op Food, I personally coordinated and ran the charity & community engagement activities that took place in our store and area, and have some prior experience working with Oxfam, among other charitable organisations.At the moment, I am actively looking for full-time work following on from the completion of my studies. I am currently working in hospitality, after having worked for the last four years in other customer-facing jobs in both team member and team leader roles. However, I am currently looking to enter into a career in which my passions lie, so that I can contribute as much as I can to enrich and educate others in any way that I can.
