I am a full-time undergraduate at the University of Manchester studying an MPhys in Physics with Astrophysics. My studies have enabled me to explore my passion for Quantum Mechanics alongside the study of space, both hosting industries with careers I would be interested in pursuing. I have also gained proficiency in Python, especially for modelling and analysing data. My experience with practical lab work has helped me to familiarise myself with virtual lab environments, such as LabView and DS9, the prior being primarily used for data acquisition and the latter for analysing properties of stars.I have conducted two separate internships with Agilia Infrastructure Partners Ltd, taking place in the summers of 2022 and 2023 respectively. During my first internship, I was given the role of researching different Knowledge Management (KM) schemes and presenting my findings to senior figures in the Agilia hierarchy. I worked closely with Rehema Msulwa, a Manager at Agilia at the time, and our findings have since been used to form the basis of Agilia's current KM scheme. In my most recent internship, I have been tasked with helping to organise more internal company matters, but have also worked in software development and research. I have been able to refine my professional literacy and conduct by working alongside superiors, while also embarking on independent coding projects. I have had brief experiences with machine learning models such as K-Nearest-Neighbours (KNN), Dynamic Time Warping (DTW) and Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM). I have also recently been introduced to large language models such as Microsoft Azure OpenAI. I am fascinated by the functionality of machine learning and hope to pursue a career in which it is centred, or can at least be utilised.
