About Laura Zaferson
Communicator, marketer and educator with broad experience. Currently Chief Strategy Officer at McCann Worldgroup based in Lima, Peru. Also, Academic Director at Brother Lima Escuela de Creativos, part of the Brother Network, awarded 2023's most creative school of Cannes Festival.Prior to that, I was VP of Planning at Publicis Groupe and worked for global networks such as GREY, DDB, LOWE and JWT. While developing in the advertising field I was lucky enough to be part of a solid Planning Department at CircusGREY, supervised the Movistar Team at DDB, managed Unilever mainstream brands at Lowe and handled Belcorp’s regional team at JWT. On my educational side, on 2014 I took a time apart from advertising and spent 3 years focused on Education Management working at ISIL, the leading Technical Institute in Peru with a population of 12,000 students; was invited to be a Professor at University of Applied Sciences (UPC) and also at TAG, an international franchise of the Advertising School based in Spain. Amongst my international background, I spent a semester in the US selected by Disney’s College Program Recruiters to work as Attractions Host in Orlando and I also lived 3 years in Argentina working for Reader’s Digest being in charge of the content for South America. I do journalism on the side. I’ve been published several times by both Somos and Viú!, the weekend magazines of El Comercio, the leading newspaper in Perú. With 15 years of freelance experience on content creation, copywriting and transcreation, I've served both the LATAM market and the Hispanic Market in the US as well as worked with agencies in UK.
