CurrentDuties and responsibilities:• Managed the actual construction implementation for the District Cooling Plants # 7 with the capacity of 32,000 Tons of Refrigeration along with the underground facilities serving the external network utilities part of Education City Buildings.• Functioned as first point of contact for construction issues at assigned sites.• Ensured that materials of construction are according to specifications and required standards.• Managed the site on a day-to-day basis, including supervising and coordinating various general and trade contractors.• Ensured QA/QC requirements are carried out in accordance with contracts, design requirements, and current approved QA/QC manuals.• Resolved unexpected technical problems that may arise and collaborates with the team to ensure timely completion of each assigned contract.• Reported to project management team on contractor’s performance and project issues.• Generated periodic and ad hoc reports as required.• Represented the interests of the owner while overseeing assigned site project activities and ensured project execution is carried out in a safe manner.• Worked proactively with contractors to meet project objectives with regard to safety, cost control, and schedule. • Oversees field activities and provides daily updates on work progress. • Performed technical, organizational, and supervisory role on construction projects.• Understood and facilitated permit-to-work process so contractor’s work can proceed smoothly. • Reviewed and resolves day-to-day site construction issues and coordinates approved construction management procedures.• Ensured site safety concerns are being addressed prior to related work commencement. • Provided guidance to contractors in coordinating preparation of field documents.• Reviewed and monitors planned schedule against actual work progress.• Developed recovery schedules and workaround plans with contractors to address slippage
