As a middle child, growing up I would always try to understand both sides to be able to communicate between the two parties (usually my sisters). Little did I know that listening, observing, and seeking empathy to understand perspectives would translate into my current role as a design researcher. In the past 6 years at Priority Designs, I have had the opportunity to help solve complex problems based on consumer perspectives, and turn those into actionable insights. From observing open heart surgeries to talking to construction workers on their jobsites, I love placing myself in the environment of the end user to discover challenges that can be turned into design opportunities. You can find me in the field, moderating, conducting usability tests, creating protocols, synthesizing/analyzing data, designing IFU’s, and in my free time composing photos in our studio.
