Clinical Manager of the Cardiac Cath Lab and Ambulatory Procedural Area

Cardiac Cath Lab

•Supervise staff technologists Interviews, coordinates orientation and training, evaluates the performances of, and when necessary, assists with disciplinary actions.•Assists Director with monitoring the department budgets and team utilization of operational resources. •Participates in the development and implementation of new programs/technologies and/or changes to existing programs/technologies.•Works collaboratively with Director, team members, educators, physicians and other clinical experts to establish and implement best practices, identify opportunities for improvement, and provide continuing education programs that will develop the clinical expertise of the staff on an ongoing basis. •Assists Director with annual competency skills assessment for clinical staff and conducts annual performance reviews.•Assist with the day-to-day operational and clinical activities of Cath Lab. •Ensure services are in compliance with professional standards, state and federal regulatory requirements.•Continues to execute duties of inventory manager and billing coordinator.

Cardiac Cath Lab And Interventional Radiology

•Manages supply inventory and expenses. Collaborates with MD's to identify physician preference items, works collaboratively with Purchasing to effectively negotiate pricing. Provide data to MD's and Administration on supply utilization. •Accountable for inventory usage, replenishment and projections for usage.•Developed and managed inventory cost savings expectations while actively seeking ways to eliminate or reduce cost. •Serves as a front line contact for vendors. Interacts with vendor clinical educator representatives. In doing so, coordinates staff and physician in-service schedules and competency assessments for equipment trials. Works with appropriate personnel to acquire new technology and service.•Responsible for implementation of new charges and department billing to include charge audit reconciliation. •Expertly planned, coordinated, organized and directed all operations of annual inventory and budgeting analysis.•Trained staff on billing guidelines. •Kept abreast of advances in cardiovascular and interventional radiology treatment, equipment, billing regulations and health insurance changes.

Serves as a clinical resource and expert in difficult situations and clinical procedures collaborate with physicians to appropriately coordinate patient care. Maintain and assist in the performance of all modalities of interventional coronary and vascular procedures. Experiences include scrubbing, circulating and monitoring.
