One year internship teaching freshman world history. Included observations, guided teaching, team teaching, and independent teaching experience. Required lesson planning, teaching reflection, professional development, parent contact, and classroom organization.

Volunteered as an assistant leader for 30 high school students traveling to Paris, Florence and Rome on an educational spring break tour through EF Tours.

Required independent research in the educational field to be used in a larger research study on the opinion of education in the United States. My individual study focused on the opinion of charter schools during congressional hearings.

Student Assistant to the Public Information Officer in the Emergency Management and Homeland Security Division. Job duties include: editing, basic desktop publishing, social media messaging campaigns, social media monitoring, news media compilation, social/news media metrics, filing, news releases, preparedness campaign development, web content development, database creation and event planning.

Seasonal employment that involved working with undercover police officers to execute decoy stings to establishments that sold alcohol to minors. Included basic safety training and court appearances.
