I graduated as a Telematics Engineer from Universidad de Montevideo in 2021 and have since built a 5-year career in Data Engineering and Software Development. During this time, I’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with high-profile American clients, seamlessly integrating into their teams while leveraging a wide range of technologies to deliver innovative and impactful solutions. My expertise includes developing Big Data solutions—such as microservices, data pipelines, and visualizations—using platforms like AWS, Databricks, Python, PySpark, Golang, SQL, Airflow, Power BI, and Looker.Currently, I am working as a Data Engineer/Analyst at Qualabs. My responsibilities include building and managing a unified Data Platform using Databricks and AWS, designing scalable Batch and Near Real-Time pipelines that process several terabytes of data daily. I work designing and implementing data transformation, reporting, and data integration processes, ensuring efficient data flow and governance across the platform.As of January 2024, I’ve embarked on a new academic journey by pursuing a Master of Science in Data Analytics at Georgia Institute of Technology. Through this program, I aim to further enhance my technical and leadership skills, striving to become a more proficient professional in the field.Adaptability and fast learning are two of my key strengths, particularly in today’s rapidly evolving tech landscape. I’m always eager to explore emerging technologies and contribute to developing solutions that bring meaningful value to both the companies I work with and society at large.Fun Fact: My passion for Machine Learning and its related engineering led me to develop a prototype of smart glasses for the visually impaired as part of my thesis project. Utilizing Computer Vision, this work was published at the IEEE Global Humanitarian Technology Conference, where I showcased my skills in Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Keras, OpenCV, and electronics.Outside of work, I devote significant time to volunteering, which has enriched my leadership, organizational, and communication abilities. These experiences have shaped me into a more effective leader and have sharpened my ability to express ideas with clarity and persuasion.Beyond my technical pursuits, I have a deep passion for Philosophy and Theology, and I am currently pursuing a Diploma in these fields at the University of Santo Tomás de Aquino. Additionally, I’m a dedicated musician, leading a choir of 30 people and performing as a pianist and singer in a folk band.
