In collaboration with the Office of Innovation WA Chapter and Whitman College, I have been responsible for data collection and intervention implementation for a study that looks at the connection between object exploration and executive functioning in infants 6-10 months. In addition, I assisted in the design and drafting of proposals for a second round of funding from the Center on the Developing Child.

Greater Seattle Area

As an EHS Home Visitor, I partner with families of children 0-3 to plan and implement comprehensive child development services. Through weekly home visits, I provide a range of family support and advocacy services, including conducting child development screenings and assessments, developing individualized learning plans for children, developing Family Partnership Agreements, and assist in planning and implementation of parent education activities. Additionally, I participate in team meetings to implement goal-oriented family plans, assist families with community resources, and refer families to community services as needed.

• Developed Spanish-language perinatal and post-partum counseling sessions focused on optimal feeding practices, serving as the primary intervention for a four-year longitudinal study• Evaluated and modified Mexico’s national nutrition strategy for study’s specific needs, aimed to increase exclusive breastfeeding duration among urban middle-low income Mexican women• Conducted literature reviews of evidence-based interventions for exclusive breastfeeding
