About Lloyd Bishop

I am a problem solver at heart who enjoys designing creative visual results with unique solutions and complicated technical hurdles to overcome. My roles at Technicolor & DNEG have given me the confidence to program within an industry environment and increase my skillset with Python, C++, Unreal Engine, and other proprietary tools. My work at Technicolor Group has also allowed me to look more into design patterns and implement them while also pushing me forward to use newer versions of C++.My previous role as Technical Assistant at Industrial Light & Magic gave me the opportunity to learn new software, manage and complete tasks assigned to TAs (particularly storage, render management and show configuration), and to quickly adapt to VFX production. With a distinction-level postgraduate degree in Animation and Visual Effects and an undergraduate First with Honors (1:1) in Games Programming, I have developed my skills in many areas of the technical pipeline. With a strong background in real-time development, game development, tools development, and R&D, I keep my cool under heavy pressure, adhere to deadlines, and am eager to progress further into more technically challenging roles that push me to improve myself and improve the lives of artists. You can find a link to my profile in Contact Info. I welcome any new contacts and am happy to have new people to learn from within the industry and hopefully, they may one day be able to learn from me.

Due to the constantly evolving nature of UE, frequent updates were made to use the latest versions, which included maintenance of our tools through large jumps in major versions and a multitude of changes through minor versions.
