From 2012 until 2018 my focus as an independent hairstylist and makeup artist was on the commercial and film industry. I have had the pleasure of working with clients such as The Seattle Seahawks, HBO, Comedy Central, Amazon, Microsoft, Nike, Safeway, the Whatcom Transit Authority, and music videos for bands such as Train, and local favorites Ivan & Aloysha. I work on set and enjoy being able to travel. Starting in 2018 I reoriented my business and started working heavily in the bridal market in Portland, Oregon. I still love working on set, but have found enormous satisfaction in working in the intimate environment created by special events like weddings. Bellingham, Washington

Francie Allen is a figurative sculptor and multi-media artist based out of Bellingham, WA. Her work has had a strong presence in the Pacific Northwest since the 70's, and has been in galleries and museums as far as Japan. As Francie Allen's studio assistant, I served as a second pair of hands and as an extension of herself. In addition to developing sculpting techniques for life-sized figurative sculptures made out of various wire and fabric media, I also participate in the creation and completion of these works of art.- Provided logistical and creative consultation for public art installations as well as collaborations with other artists.- Gained a knowledge of various sculptural media such as fabric, wire, and concrete.- Honed problem solving skills.- Finished large-scale creative projects on a fluctuating timeline.- Published and maintained the artists blog, website, and other social media.- Facilitated communication with the artist and the public.- Hosted open studios.- Supervised and trained new assistants.
