Hi, I'm Laverta Brenchley, the Lower School (K-8) Assistant Principal at Pearson Online Academy, a trailblazer in blending technology and academics. Our mission is to ensure every student can achieve high levels of academic success and master challenging material with the support of our dedicated teachers and administrators. At Pearson Online Academy, students are empowered to exceed their educational dreams and goals.Over the past 12 years at Pearson Online Academy, I've had the privilege of serving in various roles, including Teacher, Master Teacher, Dean of Engagement, and now Assistant Principal. Each position has provided me with a comprehensive understanding of school life and the opportunity to work alongside passionate educators committed to delivering exceptional instruction and support.Prior to joining Pearson Online Academy, I contributed to the success of Pearson's sister school, Connections Academy. My journey began at Oregon Connections Academy as an Elementary Teacher, quickly advancing to Lead Teacher. I then played a pivotal role in opening Nevada Connections Academy, where I served as Master Teacher and School Academic Advisor. Additionally, I supported Connections Academy's partnership with the Houston Independent School District's Hospital and Homebound programs.Outside of my professional life, I enjoy traveling across the U.S., exploring historical sites that reflect our nation's rich history.
