I serve as the senior executive for this market-driven southern forest conservation effort. In this role I lead strategy development and implementation of solutions that will ensure that our forest landowners have incentive to keep their forests as forests. We are unique in our focus on creating systems-level change that can impact the entire region. Our work is collaboratively-driven by leaders in non-governmental organizations, government, and the private sector. We convene these partners to innovate and scale solutions that no single entity or organization could take on individually. Current initiatives focus on catalyzing a payment for ecosystem services water market, promoting markets for regenerative forest products through the development of a commodity brand, and strengthening the link between recreation economies and working forests.

The US Forest Service is a large federal, natural resource agency with management responsibility for 193 million acres of American forests.During this time, I provided strategic leadership for national/regional efforts of the U.S. Forest Service to develop organizational capabilities to respond to ever-changing and emerging business conditions. This also involved facilitating complex dialogue on changes to succession planning process.My contributions included developing a national succession plan, which re-shaped the way the U.S. develops leaders responding to emergencies and natural disasters. I also equipped high-potential talent with the professional qualifications and leadership readiness needed to advance.

This involved bridging the gaps between federal and state program managers on divisive topics related to change. == As a Deputy Forest Supervisor, I oversaw the management of 850K-acre Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest in Georgia. As a result, I helped position the forest for the best future by directing team of 4 leaders and 130 employees in strategic design and facilitation.
