MASCOT is a DLR lander project aiming to land on 1999JU3 asteroid surface in late 2018 and study the physical properties of the soil, as part of Hayabusa-II Japanese mission, launched in December 2014.Main contribution: thermal design, modelling and analysis (ESATAN-TMS) of the lander covering all mission phases, different configurations and environment requirements: cruise mode (four years), landing, landed cases; interfaces with subsystems/payloads and main spacecraft; thermal drawings; thermal vacuum tests design; thermal model correlations and reductions; thermal design of two on-board instruments until successful CDR; leading AST two people team.• nanoPCM and COOL-COVERINGS projects as Project Manager and Technical Responsible for AST contribution (2011-2013) to 2 European Commission FP7 projects for materials development for energy savings in buildings.Main contribution: thermal analysis of buildings for energy savings; developing new materials, PCMs (nanoPCM) and coatings with improved near-infrared properties (COOL-COVERINGS); leading AST three people team.
