After completing my undergraduate studies at Carnegie Mellon University, I began working in finance to save for the future. However, it quickly became apparent that my passions lay elsewhere. As a result, I enrolled at the University of Oxford to work towards a doctorate in plasma physics while continuing to work at Lord Capital LLC on a consulting basis to fund my studies. I completed my studies in December 2017 and am now a full-time post-doctoral researcher at the CELIA Laboratory in Bordeaux, France. I believe that the production of clean, sustainable energy is vital to humanity’s future, and thus my research interests are focused on fusion energy. Through the course of my studies, I have gained both experimental and numerical skills, running independent full-scale simulation campaigns and acting in leadership positions on various experiments. I am excited to continue pursuing this research by combining these two skillsets into the future.
