The Memphis Chapter serves Recording Academy members and music communities across the region, stretching from Memphis and the Mid-South throughout Louisiana, Mississippi, Arkansas, and Missouri. This wide-ranging area encompasses the deepest roots of American music. In this part of the country, music is not simply art or industry — it is a way of life and has been for generations. A vibrant history here that draws musicians and fans from across the globe. And while the Memphis Chapter pays tribute to that rich heritage, our focus is on the future and creating programs and educational opportunities that keep pace with today's ever-changing entertainment environment.

As Director of Louisiana's Music Programs, Lacey oversees all music policies and initiatives for the Department of Culture, Recreation, and Tourism, where she is expanding the traditional scope of the state's cultural development and tourism offices, including taking the lead on the Louisiana Music Trail- the state's largest music initiative to highlight the history of Louisiana's treasured music innovators and help drive economic recovery from the pandemic. She is working to preserve Louisiana's unique music culture, implement long-range music industry best practices across the state, and bridge the economic gaps to enhance the quality of life for the next generation of music-makers.

Louisiana Entertainment is a division of Louisiana Economic Development and works to grow and develop the film, music, interactive media, and live performance entertainment industries in the state of Louisiana.

Prior to closing in 2019, Spanish Moon was one of Baton Rouge's most historic music venues and a premier location for touring alternative acts. Assisted in coordinating and executing more than 500 international, national, and local acts. This includes handling contracts, working closely with the Talent Buyer and artists, and purchasing advertising and promoting events.Created and oversaw the first live music and event promotion internship program.

We seek to enhance the music education our young musicians receive in schools, at home, and in their private lessons. The Louisiana Youth Orchestras can serve as a springboard to a professional career in music or help them gain admission to a major university.
