I am a dedicated scientist with 15 years of experience at MSD Animal Health, specializing in vaccine development for various animal species. My work has focused on creating vaccines for Porcine Circovirus (PCV) in pigs, and for myxomatosis and Rabbit Hemorrhagic Disease Virus (RHDV) in rabbits. The last years, I have contributed to the development of vaccines for several canine diseases, including Bordetella, Parvovirus, Distemper virus, Adenovirus, and Parainfluenza.Throughout my career, I have mastered numerous advanced techniques. These include electrofusion and polyethylene glycol (PEG) fusion for generating new hybridoma lines, as well as cell culture on a wide variety of eukaryotic and prokaryotic cell lines. I am proficient in ELISA, virus neutralization assays, virus titrations, and the validation of these assays. My skills extend to automated nucleic acid isolations, PCR, SDS-PAGE, Microscopy, and other microbiological techniques such as Microscopic Agglutination Tests (MAT). I am also experienced in conducting and overseeing in-vivo studies, ensuring compliance with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) standards.With a strong background in both practical laboratory skills and project management, I am committed to advancing veterinary medicine and improving animal health through innovative vaccine development.
