Lynette Correa-Velez is a sought-after highly awarded, DEIAJ-centered thought leader in career coaching, innovation, and career/workforce development especially within the tech industry. She has over 20 years of human capital empowerment experience. Lynette's pronouns are she/her/hers/ella and she is bicultural and bilingual in English and Spanish. Currently, she is the founding Vice President of Leadership Programs at a national nonprofit called the Hispanic Alliance for Career Enhancement (HACE) headquartered in Chicago, IL. She is an alum of a virtual tech leadership fellowship program called the "Colorwave Tech Fellows-Cohort 5”. Colorwave's goal is to assist in closing the racial wealth gap in the tech industry. Lynette is also an alum of 2/3 mentoring programs at "The Ladder" & the “Women’s Mentoring Co-Op” and an Associate Board of Director at Chicago InnovationLynette is on pause for her doctoral program in Diversity and Equity (D&I) in Education with an emphasis in the Human Resources Development program at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). She also has an M.Ed. in #tech/e-Learning for Workplace Learning & Training from UIUC and a B.S. from Lesley University located in her home state of MA. As a trained Career Coach, Lynette has co-empowered over 30,000 diverse learners from all walks of life throughout the U.S. and internationally. Born and raised in the inner-city of Boston, MA, USA to Puerto Rican parents, where Lynette has overcome many obstacles. She is the first in her family with a high school diploma and a college degree, and the first female on both sides of her family as a successful serial ed social entrepreneur. She has previously created and sustained 3 education social enterprises which include "Career Coaching 4 Kidz" and "Chameleon Career Coaching" as well as co-founded an online start-up non-profit called "GradPipeline".
