Living and growing up in nine countries has helped create an awareness of the impermanence in life and the uncertain value of conventional knowledge; illustrating the paradox between knowing and what we may do well to “unlearn”. Christer has worked with companies in six countries on four continents, including in Brazil where between 1998 and 2002 he started a subsidiary for a Swedish Multinational.The position of CEO in Brazil created an awareness of the challenges faced by our society and the strains on our planets ecosystems. A personal journey of self development led to workshops and coaching in leadership for sustainability, and promoting an international network of ecocafés and ecovillages under the auspices of the Open World Foundation in Stockholm, Sweden.Christer returned to Mallorca, Spain in 2013 to build on past experiences and develop a personal model for sustainability and resilience in small communities through growing consciousness and awareness. From 2013 to 2018 he is organized community-based screening events, workshops and a conferences on Energy, Economy, and Ecology through different initiatives on the island: "Sacred Valley Dialogues" started in Sóller 2014, "Downtown Dinner Dialogues" started in Palma in the spring of 2016, "CineConCiencia" started in collaboration with CineCiutat, and "RadioConCiencia" in the summer of 2016. After more than 30 consciousness-raising events, Christer co-founded Circle Carbon S.L. in 2018 to practice tangible social, environmental, and economical awareness by doing. Circle Carbon works actively with Soil Regeneration, Organic Waste Management, Carbon Capture & Storage, and Food Security by applying biochar to a proprietary composting process, showing results in the production of vegetable and fruit produce in 7500 m2 of green houses.Increased awareness of individual potential plants seeds for long-term success; Christer's initiatives help awaken the hidden potential in individuals, creating new perspectives on cooperation and personal development. Increased focus and balance help provide a strong base for individual and business growth, with a deeply ingrained sense of responsibility, respect and awe for the power in nature.Through observation and silence, preferably in close communion with nature, a “zero perspective” can help stimulate the questions surrounding our purpose and a meaningful contribution while on earth.

We curate film events with before and after dialogue sessions, either with the director(s) of the film or an authority on the subject, and connect theater-goers to each other and their community. Besides a close partnership with CineCiutat S’Escorxador we are collaborating with small businesses, cafés, restaurants, co-working spaces and cultural centres to co-create “Impact Hubs”.Five years of experience at CineCiutat has shown that:• Community based event cinema is a popular and potentially lucrative complementary model for the globally struggling theatrical documentary market;• Film producers, exhibitors, distributors and sales agents in Europe have an interest in this complementary distribution model;• Businesses, individuals, communities, and organizations are keen to be active participants in this model for screening social, environmental, meaningful, and consciousness raising films, in combination with dialogues and prototyping sustainability projects.As active contributors in several local and international networks for social change, we have discovered the impact of connecting people with each other and films that matter.
