My passion for Hip-Hop, wrestling and talking led me to a career in broadcasting and I haven't looked back since. A change in careers led me to the Illinois Center for Broadcasting (now Illinois Media School) in 2009. After graduating a year later, I joined the Internet Radio station WindyCityUnderground.com as the Morning Show host. In 2013 I became the Program Director, overseeing over 20 radio personalities and even more students looking to begin a career in broadcasting. During my time at WindyCityUnderground.com, I interview celebs including Chance The Rapper, T.I. participated in numerous charity events and ran two monthly showcases spotlighting the Chicago Hip-Hop and Spoken Word scene.In 2015, I became an Online Editor for Radio One, overseeing editorial digital content, social media, and strategy for Dallas and St. Louis. A year later I was promoted to Regional Online Editor, moving to Washington D.C. market and continuing to oversee Dallas and St. Louis. I also added the Baltimore and Philadelphia markets to my plate. In total, I am in charge of 19 stations and 3 Online Editors while working closely with Programming and Sales staffs in each market. In 2018, I joined the Linda J. Villardo Mentorship program in 2018 and was mentored by Radio One Indianapolis Vice President & General Manager Deon Levingston.One of my core strengths is content creation. I co-created the Radio One Original web-series "Voices." With over 100 episodes with celebrities such as Meek Mill, Nipsey Hussle & John Legend and over 500,000 views, Voices is one of the most view original pieces of content from Radio in the Washington, D.C. area. I am the co-host of 2 emerging podcasts; The wrestling-centric "First Black Champ," and the "Hip-Hop Hot Take" driven show "Some Dude."I am a married father of two sons, an avid fan of all Chicago Sports and can talk about Wrestlemania all day long.
