With over 25 years of experience in public health and social work, I am a motivated and innovative leader passionate about addressing social justice, health equity, education, and community health issues. I have a master's degree in social service administration from the University of Chicago and extensive skills in program development, management, health policy, research, and evaluation.As the Subdivision Administrator for the Resilience, Impact, Sustainability, & Empowerment Subdivision at Maricopa County Department of Public Health (MCDPH), I oversee the Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA), the Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP) and multiple federal, state, and foundation grants that focus on health disparities, health literacy, refugee, immigrant, migrant, climate health, and SNAP-ed programs. I also lead the strategic direction and oversight of the Office of Community Empowerment, which engages, empowers, and collaborates with diverse community partners to improve health outcomes and reduce health inequities. Through my work, I aim to create a positive impact in this world and serve the needs of disenfranchised communities in urban, suburban, and rural areas.
