My responsibilities involve line managing three key members of staff, supporting them with their roles and providing supervision. I also hold a caseload of young people on statutory orders and out of court disposals, including custody cases. I continue to work in youth court as required, and have been assisting with interviews.

Within this role I held a caseload of young people on statutory and out of court disposals, including extremely complex cases. I regularly worked in court, writing pre-sentence reports for both youth and Crown Courts, and worked alongside partner agencies to ensure positive outcomes for children and young people. I helped with recruitment of volunteers into roles within the Youth Justice Service, including interviewing and preparing training materials.

Supporting clients to access the community and participate in a range of activities such as bowling, going to the cinema or pub etc.

I continued my case management work within this role, holding young people on statutory and out of court interventions. I was also responsible for managing a team of three peer advocates, who are responsible for working with the Youth Justice Service to help improve services and provisions for young people in Camden. This included working on podcasts, meeting with and mentoring other young people known to the YJS, holding focus groups, doing presentations and focus groups with the Youth Justice Board. I also completed duty manager tasks and court work.

Supporting residents with daily living, access to education and positive activities. We moved to the No Wrong Door model with the aim of increasing access to respite care for young people and completing outreach work to support young people to remain with their families.

The bulk of my work centred around preventing reoffending, but also building strength and resilience, using positives to effect change, and providing support to young people who have broken the law, often responding to welfare and safeguarding needs. I worked with young people in custody and had regular experience of working in court.

Working with other members of the board to ensure appropriate governance and strategic direction of the charity, that the charity was financially viable and meetings its aims and objective. I was a member of the risk sub-committee as well as undertaking a HR investigation during my time on the Board.
